"Ability may get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there." Sports play a significant role in the lives of those who play them. Challenging athletes to be champions off the field is just as important as training them on the field. When a team works together for the greater good of others, there is an opportunity to positively impact lives.
My husband (and coach) and I have challenged his LFC 98 Girls Premier team to Make A Statement on and off the field. Since July, they have raised and donated almost $8,000 to local charities. Together they have volunteered hundreds of hours, and want to do more! Fundraisers such as these allow them to have money to give back.
